Department of Horticulture in Agricultural College, Rajamahendravaram was started right from the inception of the college.

In the beginning, until Sri.S. Srinivasa Raju was posted as a regular faculty from July 2015 the courses were handled by contact lecturers.

Since the regular faculty is present apart from the regular academic duties, the horticulture garden is being established by S. Srinivasa Raju at both Katheru and Nidigatla farms.

The department offers 8 Under-Graduate courses totaling 19 credits for B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture. Apart from regular duties, S. Srinivasa Raju acted as Officer-in-Charge of Student activities, NSS Programme officer, Associate Dean’s Representative to RAWEP Villages, Director of Agricultural experiential Learning Programme, etc.
