Agronomy

The department of Agronomy is offering UG courses since the inception of the college (2008) with a credit load of 20 excluding RAWEP and AELP from 2016.

The department is offering 24 credit hours for the UG course excluding RAWEP and AELP and two elective courses are also being offered with 6 credits as per the V Deans Committee recommendations.

Agricultural Experiential Learning Programme has been a compulsory part of the department since its inception i.e, 2010.

The college farm with a cultivable acreage of 21.9 acres at Katheru and 58.13acres at Nidigatlais was also monitored by the department.

The department is maintaining a laboratory for UG courses with all the laminations of farm implements and meteorological instruments and irrigation equipment.

Under the guidance of the department seed production of paddy and pulses is being taken up at both the farms.

The farm is provided with a tractor and different tractor-drawn implements for cultivation.

The department is presently having 3 teaching staff members among them two are professors and one is Associate Professor.
