Agricultural Economics

Department of Agricultural Economics at Agricultural College, Rajamahendravaram was started in November 2008.

The department is offering four regular courses (10 credits) in each academic year and one elective course (3 credits) under B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture program.

The teachers undertake regular student exposure field visits to different institutional financial agencies, marketing agencies, agro-based industries, etc., under different courses.

The staff of the department is guiding M.Sc. (Ag.) Agricultural Economics students. The department is conducting a benchmark survey of Nidigatla village under the Village Adoption Programme.

Publications

1. The staff members of the department had published 30 research papers in reputed journals and 10 papers were presented in different seminars, conferences, and symposia.
2. The staff members of the department had prepared one common note in course no. AECO 142 – Agricultural Finance and Co-operation.
